2008 Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Parade will cross the Arkansas River and include the Argenta Historic District of North Little Rock, in addition to traveling through downtown Little Rock.

Applications for floats, marching bands, and other types of parade participants are now being accepted. Organizations such as area businesses, schools, churches and not-for-profit groups are encouraged to participate. The deadline for parade applications is Friday, March 7, 2008. 

Cash prizes were awarded last year to winners of the following Parade contest categories: Best Float ($200); Best Decorated car, truck or motorcycle ($100); Most Entertaining Group ($100); Best Dressed Walker ($50); and Best and Most Festive Leprachaun ($50). Similar contests are planned for the 2008 Parade.

The 2008 Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick’s Day Parade is organized and presented by the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas.  Founded in 1996, the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas provides programs demonstrating aspects of the culture of Ireland for the education of Arkansans.  The group has almost 100 active members who share a love for and an interest in Ireland.
